After living a life as a prostitute, Dan’s mother became a Christian in 2008. In trying to get her life together, she brought Dan, along with his 3 brothers, to the home. Having a difficult time being away from them, she made arrangements to have the boys move back into her home at the end of the school year. She was then stricken with tuberculosis, which caused the 3 oldest to drop out of school. While visiting their colonia, we were heartbroken to come across their situation. CHI was able to once again open its doors to this precious family in their time of need. Dan loves being back at the home, especially being able to eat every day.
