Oscar
Full Name: Oscar Prado Garcia
Birthday: July 27, 1997
Arrived at RIN: September 2008
Oscar is one of four siblings (all boys) living at RIN. he loves to play outside and is always smiling. He gets along well with the other children, but is almost inseparable from his younger brother Ivan.
Oscar’s single mother was heartbroken to find out that an older son, who was supposedly looking after the boys, while she was at work, was encouraging Oscar and his brothers to experiment with drugs. Without any relatives to lend a hand, she sought our help and has been extremely pleased to how all of her sons are developing.

We really enjoyed our visit to Children’s Haven and the oppotunity to see Oscar. We took several pictures and videos while we were there and will be forwarding them on to you as time permits. We look forward to seeing you all when we are in the Valley again next year.
