Selene’s father abandoned the family and the mother doesn’t have enough money to support the family. Selene and her brother Ulises live at the home. Selene attends a private school in Reynosa on a scholarship provided by a CHI Mexican Board member. Selene is an extremely smart young girl who is at the top of her class at school.
