Note from the Director
HOLA Amigo – I’m so glad you took time to visit our web-site today! Whether you are familiar with CHI’s life changing ministry or are just checking us out for the first time, we hope your heart will be touched as you look at the photos and read the stories of our “Dear Ones”. Despite increased unrest in some areas of Reynosa, the children, staff and none who have visited recently have had any problems whatsoever. WE ARE SAFE AND DOING WELL!!! A few minor adjustments have been made over the last few years, just to be on the safe side; there are some areas of town we now try to avoid and have limited travel after dark. But please keep in mind there are places in “safe cities” in the US, (with much smaller populations – remember Reynosa has over a million people) where many of us wouldn’t dare set foot. Still, we greatly appreciate the outpouring of concern and treasure your continued prayers and visits.
We probably don’t update this site as often as we should and I do apologize for that. It has been my intention for a long time to start a “Blog”, but for the meantime, I would like to invite you to visit our face book page – Childrens Haven International: Official Face Book Page. It’s really one of the best places to see tons of photos of our most current events.
God has been so good to Children’s Haven and to each of the precious youngsters he has brought into our family over the last 38 years. If you’re already one of our partners, we thank you for making this life changing work possible, if not – we hope something you see here today may move you to become involved, we’re always excited when the Lord brings new “Amigos” into the Children’s lives.
